Corrosion / Coating Fault Detection Service
Corrosion/ Coating Fault detection is used for detection of cathodic protection failures to buried pipelines. Using the principle of direct current voltage gradient, we are able to determine the extent of corrosion or coating fault along the buried pipeline beneath the ground.
Avionix Energy Corrosion Detection service is used for:
- Preventive measure of checking for cathodic protection failure.
- Determine the location of repair works
- Checking the pipeline coating integrity

We are capable of providing the following leak detection/ inspection services:
- Coating/ cathodic protection refurbishment prioritizing
- Pipeline operating license validation
- Pipeline installation coating warranty verification
- Interference testing and electrical continuity checks
- Surveys areas which are impossible by other techniques e.g. river crossings, city streets, process plant, tank farms, etc
- Multiple pipelines can be surveyed whilest still connected together
- Determine size of coating defects to as small as 10cm in diameter
